SUGAR BAY BEACH RESORT WEDDINGS Situated on 30 lush acres on a hillside of St. Thomas sits the Sugar Bay Resort, perfect for a destination wedding. The resort overlooks the emerald waters of Water Bay to its north and St. John and the British Virgin Islands to its east. Sugar Bay Beach is currently closed from previous damage by Hurricane Irma. As of now no reopening dates are set for 2021. We traveled to Sugar Bay for our honeymoon in 2016. The very day Delta shut down all around the world, and we spent a night in the airport in Atlanta. We called ahead to let them know we wouldn't be there until the next day, and they were very nice and accommodating. We finally arrived, after a cab drive that felt like the Daytona 500, and they welcomed us with a drink and told us our room had been upgraded to an ocean view with balcony. We checked in and went to our room and they had champagne and a note of congratulations on our wedding. The entire time we were there, we were taken care of. Restaurants were excellent, the bartenders at the pool were great, the beach there is small, but amazing. We had a wonderful time and they helped us schedule excursions and rides. Not a …
